Tаkе thе орроrtunitу to transform thе livеѕ of milliоnѕ of реорlе. Sее what Fliрkаrt did with e-commerce in Indiа, аnd Pауtm with оnlinе рауmеntѕ.

I love all these tips, especially #2. Over the past year I’ve found myself wanting to contribute better content, useful tutorials and being more helpful in general when blogging. It’s not easy to run your own business, but the payoff and self worth is so amazing.

The one thing I think is cool is that you can explore your creative side…your passions. It’s the best time to do it when you’re working full time because it’s way less pressure. You can play, and enjoy. And hopefully make some money on the side!

I have a neighbor who was struggling to get work. He had his own business but moved and was trying to get started. I suggested he just get a job and he said, “you just don’t understand that once you work for yourself you can never go back to having someone tell you what to do. There is nothing like working for yourself.” It was interesting and he struggled for about 5 more months, but then got his next business up and running and is doing extremely well.

I started my blog, which is now my business, three years ago at least in part to fulfill an entrepreneurial itch. I work in corporate finance and it’s great work and benefits, but I do like the entrepreneurial side of things. I think I’ll always have some sort of side business or investment going on.

I can totally relate, I work in corporate finance myself and on the same time running my online business. It is a great balance :)

I really like all of these reasons especially #4. Starting your own business even if it’s on the side is a great way to gain experience in different roles without having to apply or prove to others that you can do them.
